SINT MAARTEN/CARIBBEAN — It’s the last week to enter the nonprofit EPIC’s second annual Seas & Scenes: Love the Caribbean Photo Contest 2026, presented in partnership with Caribbean Compass magazine. This is your chance to celebrate the beauty, wildlife, people, and sailing culture of the Caribbean through photography. Visit the contest page at epicislands.org/photo-contest-2026/.
Open until August 31, 2026, the free-to-enter contest features more than $3,000 USD in prizes and 12 chances to win are available. First, second, and third-place awards will be presented in four categories:
*Caribbean Life & Nature.
*Sailing, Yachting & Life on the Water.
*Environmental Impact & Stewardship.
*Audience Choice - vote up to 5 times daily to help choose winners.
Twenty-six Caribbean nations and territories have been represented in the more than 300 photos already submitted, surpassing the totals from last year. Winning entries in the three judged categories will be chosen by a panel of judges from throughout the region, whose expertise includes photography, conservation, sailing, journalism and Caribbean culture.
“This year’s photos and stories show the care, connection, and resilience that bind people to one another and to the places they love. That is what makes these images so powerful and these places so worth protecting.” said Tabitha Stadler, Executive Director of EPIC.
The 2026 contest is sponsored by DSL Yachting and IGY Marinas St. Maarten. Additional prizes have been donated by businesses and partners that share a commitment to celebrating and protecting the Caribbean.
The entry window is now in its final week and closes August 31, 2026. To enter, vote or learn more, visit epicislands.org/photo-contest-2026/
