SINT MAARTEN (SIMPSON BAY) - From the glamorous shores of Monaco to the bustling docks of Fort Lauderdale, St. Maarten continues to make its mark on the international yachting stage.
Once again, Destination Hub will proudly showcase the island at the prestigious Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) 2026, taking place October 28 to November 1 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Following its participation at the Monaco Yacht Show in September, Destination Hub is carrying that momentum into Fort Lauderdale, continuing its efforts to keep St. Maarten top of mind among the world's leading yacht brokers, captains, charter companies, and maritime professionals.
This year, Destination Hub is partnering with YATCO, a leading global platform connecting yacht brokers, buyers, and professionals across the luxury yachting industry. The delegation will be represented within the exclusive YATCO Lounge, providing a valuable opportunity to connect with key industry players and explore new business opportunities.
Established by The Yacht Club at Port de Plaisance to bring St. Maarten's yachting industry together under one umbrella, Destination Hub continues to champion a united approach to international destination promotion. Joining the initiative at FLIBS 2026 are Palapa Marina, the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau, and Port St. Maarten, all working toward strengthening the island's position as the “Yachting Capital of the Caribbean.”
“St. Maarten has so much to offer the international yachting community, and it is important that we continue to show up, build relationships, and tell our story,” said Sharrita Mills, Director of Marketing and Sales at The Yacht Club at Port de Plaisance.
“After a successful presence in Monaco this September, we are excited to carry that same energy into Fort Lauderdale. These events give us the opportunity to connect directly with the people who influence where yachts travel, where they dock, and where their guests choose to spend their time. We want St. Maarten to remain at the top of that list.”
Throughout the five-day event, the delegation will focus on strengthening industry relationships, exploring new collaborations, and attracting more yachting business to St. Maarten ahead of the Caribbean season.
As Destination Hub continues to strengthen St. Maarten's presence on the international yachting stage, collaboration remains a driving force behind the initiative. With the island's marine and tourism sectors standing united, the message is clear: Together We Are Stronger.
