ARUBA – Last week Thursday and Friday, Gamma IT Solutions and CITI partnered up again to host a coding edition for kids. This coding edition was especially for kids aged 9 to 12 years old, free of charge and was presented by Rainier Gaari, Software Developer of Gamma IT Solutions.
The XLab Coding Edition had as purpose to introduce the basic ideas of coding to the kids. To make the coding edition more fun and interactive for the kids Gaari used the famous website www.code.org to teach the kids the basics of coding.
With the help of popular games such as Minecraft, Angry Birds and Star Wars the kids could learn the basics of coding. Afterwards, the kids had pizza and snacks and received a participation certificate.
Due to social distancing, only a few kids could be present at the offices of CITI, but the other kids could follow the class from their homes via Zoom.
Gaari shares “The kids are very interested in the world of IT and we at Gamma IT Solutions think it is very important to give them the tools to continue learning more about technology. We are very grateful to CITI, especially to Monique Raphaela, Suhailly Hooi and Sherline Bakmeijer, that partnered up with us and made their office and computers available to the kids. We are very excited to continue to offer more coding classes to kids, teens and adults in the future.”
