SINT MAARTEN (PHILIPSBURG) – Kenty Lichtenberg, Blogger & Marketer, is known locally and internationally for being an active Plus Size Blogger. She embodies and embraces body positivity and emphasizes on the importance on being given the same opportunities, regardless of your size.

For the same reason, she knew that she wanted to be part of Aruba’s first plus size pageant, Kenty said on Tuesday in a media statement. “With Miss Plus Aruba, we hope to make a difference in the Beauty Pageant World and to encourage more ladies to participate and show off what they got. We are proud to have the first Plus Size Pageant on Aruba, and hopefully one of the first ones in the Caribbean. We hope that we can motivate other countries to start with the Revolution of Plus Size Beauty Pageants, because ALL Women are beautiful, regardless of their size, shape, appearance or preferences,” says event founder and organizer Tyrone Farro.

Due to the Pandemic, Miss Plus Aruba, transitioned into a Virtual Pageant, changes had to be made in order to adjust the audience and candidate’s participation. But one thing was for sure, the main goal would remain the same. That is to embrace, flaunt and celebrate curves! The focus of the judges will be on the confidence, creativity and intelligence of the Candidates. We will not be judging any body size or body types.

We came up with 12 challenges that the Candidates must present to the judges in order to be scored. In these challenges, the Candidates need to be as creative as possible and also deliver a good final product. After these 12 challenges, the Judges will choose the Miss Plus Aruba Winner, the 4 Runner Ups, the Miss Plus Confidence, Miss Plus Photogenic and lastly the Best Hair & Make up between all 14 of our Candidates. The Finale will take place as a physical event, where we will crown the winners and that will be the first time that the Candidates will physically meet each other.

“As Plus Size and body acceptance has always been the true advocacy of this blog, I am more than elated to have been chosen as their Official Blogger that will virtually cover and share a memorable virtual experience with these phenomenal ladies”, says Kenty Lichtenberg, founder of www.keraikreativestyle.com

Please follow Miss Plus Aruba both on Facebook / Instagram. Of course, we encourage you to visit all the relevant social media handles and support the journey of these ladies, in what we hope will continue to break beauty standards and stereotypes.
