SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - Kevin Maingrette officially tendered his resignation from the UP Party, effective as of October 24, 2023. In his formal announcement, Maingrette emphasized that his decision to leave the UP Party was due to a fundamental misalignment of core values, as articulated in his letter to Mr. Rolando Brison, the leader of the UP party.
Maingrette denies allegations of any affiliation with Olivier Arrindell or any involvement in leaking sensitive information, labeling these claims as baseless and lacking any substantial evidence. He expressed his commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and ethical conduct.
Nevertheless, Maingrette called on the public to stay focused on the pressing issues that affect the people of Sint Maarten, urging them not to be sidetracked by the disruptive political games.
"My focus has always been on the people of Sint Maarten and how to improve their day-to-day lives, rather than getting caught up in petty politics and hearsay," stated Maingrette. "I sincerely believe that those who entrusted us with their votes have concerns that must take precedence in our minds.
This renewed dedication to the people's needs and the betterment of Sint Maarten is the driving force behind Maingrette's decision to join the NOW Party. Under the leadership of MP Christophe Emmanuel, he sees an opportunity to put these core values into practice and address the vital issues that confront our community.
Maingrette's focus remains clear: the needs and aspirations of the people are his priority, and he is committed to ensuring their voices are heard. His new affiliation with the NOW Party marks the start of this commitment.
