SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - The KPSM (Sint Maarten Police Force) recently partnered with the White and Yellow Cross Care Foundation (WYCCF) to provide officers with specialized training on how to appropriately approach, respond to, and refer persons living with Alzheimer’s disease.

The training was conducted by experienced professional nurses from the WYCCF, who provided officers with practical knowledge and guidance to better understand the challenges faced by people battling Alzheimer’s and how to respond safely, respectfully, and effectively when assistance is needed.

The Chief of Police Carl John thanked WYCCF for partnering with KPSM and for providing this valuable training. He emphasized that the knowledge gained will better prepare officers to assist Alzheimer’s patients and their families whenever and wherever they may require support.

KPSM remains committed to strengthening partnerships with organizations that provide valuable training and resources to enhance the knowledge, preparedness, and effectiveness of its officers.
