Kristen Laurence: New "star" on Island Real Estate Team | SOUALIGA NEWSDAY

SINT MAARTEN (SIMPSON BAY) – The Island Real Estate (IRE) Team is proud to introduce Kristen Laurence as their newest agent on the team. She officially signed her independent contractor agreement on September 2nd, 2019.

Although she has been unofficially part of the team for the past two years as an assistant to one of the veteran and top producing agents, Sacha van den Bosch.  Kristen has made the decision to use the knowledge and training passed down from who she calls her mentor, Sacha, to lead her own way in the market as she tries to become another top producing real estate agent on the IRE Team.

Kristen had quiet an unpredictable start to her introduction to real estate, as she started just days before hurricane Irma hit St. Maarten.  She passed on opportunities to leave the devastated island and instead chose to continue with what she originally signed up for, being an assistant and learning as much as she could about real estate, no matter the circumstances.

“It was the absolute best decision to stay on board with Sacha and the Island Real Estate Team, as they took me under their wing and allowed me to grow from what started out as just a part-time job, to a passion in a field that I absolutely love and am now ready to build a career in.”

Kristen becomes the twelfth Independent Contractor (Agent) to join the Island Real Estate Team and provide real estate services under this local brand that was created ten years ago by Arun Jagtiani.  “I’m very excited by Kristen’s growth, because it makes me realize we have created an environment within our office, that allows us to develop young local talent and create career opportunities.  This job is much harder than most people realize, but I believe Kristen has the integrity, passion, and thick skin that is needed to be successful in this industry.”

You can contact Kristen with any real estate interests – buying, selling, or renting. She is committed to take the time with her clients and make them aware of what the local real estate market has to offer.
