SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - NV GEBE hereby informs its customers and the general public that the company will be carrying out an important System Upgrade as part of its ongoing efforts to improve internal operations and the overall customer experience.

The upgrade will require NV GEBE to temporarily adjust some of its normal processes while the new system is being implemented.

As part of the transition, all NV GEBE offices closed to the public at 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 10, 2026, and reopen on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 7:45AM. During the transition period, NV GEBE will continue to assist customers; however, certain transactions will be handled manually and may take longer than usual to process.

Customers will also be able to make in-person payments at available cashier locations using cash, debit card, or credit card.

What Customers Should Know

NV GEBE is encouraging customers to ensure that a valid email address is registered on their account. Customers who do not have an email in the system is asked to communicate this with NV GEBE.

Following the implementation of the upgraded system, important documents, including payment receipts, account information and certain customer service documentation, will be provided electronically.

During the transition, customers completing certain transactions may receive temporary document or account reference numbers. Once the System Upgrade is completed and the information is entered into the new system, an official number will be generated.

Customers are strongly encouraged to keep all receipts, temporary reference numbers, and other documents provided to them during the transition period.

During the temporary manual process, customers making cash payments will receive a temporary cash receipt, which will look different from the official receipt normally issued by NV GEBE.

Once the upgraded system is fully operational, customers who received a temporary cash receipt should present it during their next visit to any NV GEBE office to receive their official receipt.

For customers who make online payments during the transition period, these payments will be processed once the upgraded system is operational. The official receipt will then be sent to the email address registered on the customer’s account.

Customers are therefore reminded to retain all temporary documentation until their transactions have been fully processed and their official receipts have been received.

Payments and Account Information

Customers can be assured that existing account information, balances, payment information and account history will be carried over as part of the transition.

Payments made in the manual process will be uploaded when the system is up and running.

Customer Assistance

As we transition to the upgraded system, customers may notice that some of our processes and services temporarily look or feel different. Certain transactions may also take longer than usual as our team adjusts to the new system and processes.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this transition period as we work toward improving your overall customer experience.

NV GEBE takes this time to thank all or our customers and the general public in advance for their patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work through this important transition.

Customers requiring assistance during the transition may contact NV GEBE Customer Care at This email address is being protected from spambots.
