Republic Bank, SCDF continue longstanding partnership | SOUALIGA NEWSDAY

SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - The longstanding partnership between the Republic Bank of St. Maarten and the St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) will continue for Carnival 2025.

SCDF President Edwardo Radjouki recalls that the collaboration between the two entities "goes back before I was involved in Carnival, and that is over 20 years now. We are still very grateful to be able to count on the bank annually."

Radjouki emphasized that the partnership is built on strong relationships between SCDF, the bank’s management, and its personnel. Each year, Republic Bank covers the costs for SCDF uniforms, the printing of the popular Carnival schedule of events, and other essential operational needs of the foundation.

On Friday, March 28, 2025, Radjouki presented the first schedules to Republic Bank's Manager of Business Support, Judith Bain, and handed a ceremonial shirt to the bank’s General Managing Director, Sterl Lyons.

"Republic Bank is Carnival's official banking partner and has stood by the foundation through a period of challenges. In fact, the bank has even increased its participation over the past few years.

“Carnival relies on the private sector every year, and it is reassuring to know that for decades, we have been able to count on Republic Bank. Having such a dependable partner is a great feeling, and we sincerely thank them for standing by us once again," Radjouki said.
