SINT MAARTEN (POND ISLAND) - TelEm Group says it will be joining Jouvert Morning party animals “Team No Sleep” to bring in the first day of St. Maarten’s historic Carnival 50 on early morning of April 27.

The announcement was made this week by TelEm Group’s Marketing & Sales Department, represented by Marketing Officer, Stephani Jong Loy who introduced organizers of “Team No Sleep”, Ghazi (right in photo above) and Michael Angelo, a.k.a “Sponge” (left).

“The name speaks for itself,” says Stephani. “No snoozing and  definitely “No Sleeping” until Jouvert is in the rear view mirror of Carnival 50,” she adds, promising an unforgettable experience for everyone.

Adding to the Jouvert fun this year is a new creation of “Team No Sleep” in the form of a Halftime show on Jouvert Morning.

The organizers explained that halfway through Jouvert Morning, (on the so-called animal stretch between laser 101 and the zoo and around the Gyro King, Shawarma restaurant, formerly Abu Ghazi), there will be a short stop for Jouvert revelers to tank up on: colored powder, foam, water, confetti and music.

“There will be more extra supplies than ever, at our halftime pitstop before setting off on the second leg,” said Stephani.

She says, also joining “Team No Sleep” is Da Big Bad XP Band – another huge TelEm partner on the Carnival Parade road, and sponsored liquor brand, Johnny Walker.

To add to the “No Sleep” mix, top DJs from St. Maarten have also been invited along promising some original sounds and sets on the Jouvert carnival road.

“It’s all fun – and it’s all happening with TelEm Group for Carnival 50, and with “Team No Sleep”, added Stephani.
