SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) is investigating an armed robbery that took place at a restaurant located on Front Street in Philipsburg on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at approximately 21:10 p.m.

According to preliminary information, a male suspect entered the establishment while brandishing a handgun and demanding cash. Under threat of the firearm, the cashier was forced to hand over an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

After obtaining the cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot in the direction of the Boardwalk.

KPSM is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the robbery to come forward with information that could assist investigators.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Police Headquarters at 542-2222 or provide information anonymously through the police hotline at 9300.

The investigation into this armed robbery is ongoing and is being conducted by the Detective Department.
