Philipsburg — The St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) will open its offices today to handle all Carnival business. The SCDF office is located on Illidge Road above the Windward Islands Bank and will be open from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday and from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
All Carnival related inquiries can be made at the office by anyone needing information or want to do some kind of business during the Carnival period with the SCDF. All persons who registered for Carnival 2018 season passes can make payment on these passes, and have until March 15 to do so. The price of the Carnival season pass remains US $250 and can be paid in two installments of US $125 each.
Carnival 2018 Booth Holders can also start making payments on their booths. As customary, booth holders can pay for the booths in several installments, once the booth is completely paid for by April 1.
“We are swinging into full operation now for Carnival. This is the crucial preparation stage in order to be fully ready for when Carnival officially opens. We urge all booth holders and season pass registrants to stick to the payment deadlines to avoid any misunderstandings,” the SCDF said.
The office can also be reached by calling 1-721-5818891 during office hours only.
