PHILIPSBURG:— The Civil Registry Department Sint Maarten announced that it has delivered the first batch of voting cards for the upcoming St. Maarten Parliamentary elections to the Postal Services St. Maarten (PSS N.V.) on Thursday , September 1st , 2016.
The delivery of voting cards for following districts (including polling station name) to the PSS N.V. are as follows District 1: John Larmonie Center, 2: Sundial School, 5: Dutch Quarter Community Centre, 6: Milton Peters College, 7: Rupert Maynard Community Centre, 8: Sint Maarten Academy, 10: Raoul Illidge Sports complex, 12: Leonard Conner School, 13: Simpson Bay Sports Community Center, 16: Methodist Agogic Center, 17: Justice Academy and 18: Seventh Day Adventist School. The rest of voting cards will follow within 2 working days.
All voting cards which could not be delivered as addressed by PSS N.V. Postal staff will be returned to the Civil Registry Department no later than September 15th, 2016, where they can be picked up upon presentation of a valid ID. If you have changed your address please bring along your GEBE Bill, or the rent/lease agreement.
The Civil Registry strongly urges members of the public who have not received their voting card(s) by September 15th, 2016 to report to the Civil Registry department between September 19th, 2016 and September 25th, 2016 from 08:00 am to 3.30 pm to collect their voting cards.
The Civil Registry Department also wants to remind every person that applied for an ID card, Driver’s license or Passport, that provisions have been made for extra opening hours to collect their documents. The Department will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm until September 22nd, 2016.
