30 NIPA Students Postulated for NIPA Student Government.

Cay Hill:--- The National Institute for Professional Advancement is hosting its second annual election for the NIPA Student Government also known as the Student Council. Students had the opportunity to express interest in the Student Government of which 30 students from the various programs showed interest. A meeting was held on September 13th, 2016, outlining the various positions which can be filled and the roles and responsibilities, as well as the key functions for each position. These positions include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Historian/Communicator and Committee Chairperson. The objectives of the Student Government are: To enhance communication between students, management, staff and teachers, To promote an environment conducive to educational and personal development ¬To promote friendship and respect among pupils ¬ (no bullying) and To support the management and staff in the development of the school. The election is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 22nd and Friday, September 2016 which is a few days before the countries election is scheduled to take place. Students, who attended the meeting, were already brainstorming about fundraising, recreational and educational activities to promote school spirit, togetherness, and proudness at NIPA. The general public will be notified when The NIPA Student Government is formed, as well as who is serving in what positions.
