PHILIPSBURG:--- Meijburg & Co Caribbean, the tax and legal professionals of KPMG recently made an important contribution to the Library collection by donating 2 publications regarding Tax Law. The books were donated by Mr. Quincy Lont, Tax Manager at the Meijburg & Co Caribbean firm in Sint Maarten.
One of the books is a historical work about the history of the tax system in the former Netherlands Antilles by Financial and Tax Expert Mr. Faroe Metry. The other publication is the 2016 compilation of the Tax Codes for Sint Maarten, Curaçao, Aruba, the Caribbean Netherlands and Suriname published by Meijburg & Co Caribbean.
Library Director, Mrs. Monique Alberts who accepted the books on behalf of the Library was delighted about this book donation since Tax Law is a topic that concerns all of us and many library users have questions about tax issues.
