Bush T Reme.dy and Lightning win big in Ladies Basketball Championship

Sucker Garden:—-  Week 10 of the Ladies Basketball Championship continued with 2 huge games in the senior division with two huge wins.

The first game of the day saw Bush T Remedy go up against 1st place Thunderz looking for their second win in a row. Bush T Remedy started the game strong and was up 22-8 after the first quarter, 50-18 at the half and continued to expand on their lead and won handily 94-29. Bush T Remedy was lead by their 3 post players with Tiana Lionel with 26 points, Jacqueline Hodge with 24 points and Minelva Maduro with 22 points. Thunderz was lead by Quillesha Duggins and Aisha Carty with 10 points apiece.

The second game of the afternoon saw Lightning taking on Learning Unlimited. Lightning led 16-8 at the end of the first quarter but only led 26-22 at the half. In the second half Lightning outscored Learning Unlimited 68-21 to turn the close game into a blowout and win 94-43. Lightning was led by Jamaiah Newton-Herbert with 47 points and Selah Fleming with 24 points. Learning Unlimited was led by Jakisha Brooks with 16 points and Rachael de Groot with 10 points.

The senior division standings are Lightning and Thunderz at 8-2, Bush T Remedy at 2-8 and Learning Unlimited at 1-9.

Games continue this Sunday for the U16 teams at 2pm and the senior teams at 3pm as Bush T Remedy take on Lightning and at 5pm Thunderz VS Learning Unlimited. Entrance fee is $1 and food and drinks are on sale, so see you next Sunday!!
