PHILIPSBURG:--- One of the Nunez brother’s identified asMarine “Addict” Nunez who is also a suspect in a case that was heard on Friday was shot Saturday night around midnight at his Back Street home.
According to information reaching SMN News “Addict” was shot in the chest and thigh area, he is currently in the intensive care unit of the St. Maarten Medical Center. Some months ago police searched the Back Street home where Addict is living and found illegal firearms. He was held along with his brother but was released by the Judge of Instruction. On Friday the two brothers appeared at the Court of First Instance to answer to the charges that were brought against them. The victim when shot was in critical condition.
Interim police spokesman Steven Carty confirmed that the shooting occurred around midnight on Saturday and that the victim whom he is yet to identify is now in stable condition at the St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC). SMN News will update this article later today.
