PHILIPSBURG:— Minister of VROMI Christopher Emmanuel thanked the police management for calling in the various contractors that deliver cement and make them aware of their responsibilities. The Minister said that contractors that deliver cement would litter the roads one being Naked-Boy Hill while delivering cement and would not clean it up leaving other drivers and pedestrian in danger.
Emmanuel said after the meeting held with the contractors and the police that road is currently being cleaned.
He also sent out a stern warning to the various utility companies such as UTS, GEBE and TELEM all of whom he said would dig up the sidewalks when they have to lay cables or conduct repairs and these companies would not fix back the roads and or sidewalks. The Minister made clear that he would ensure that these companies fix back the roadsides they damaged when doing repairs.
