PHILPSBURG:— The Honorable Minister Meyers would like to clarify on the garbage situation at this present moment. Complaints have been brought to the Ministry’s attention pertaining to garbage from all districts. It is evident that parcel 5 and 6 has structural problems within the organization which needs grave attention. Parcel 5 and 6 has not been performing and the Minister plan to deal with the situation until the contractor for that area is performing up to par.
The Minister wants to make clear that this has nothing to do with affiliation with any political parties as some may suggest and all necessary measures would be taken to rectify any situation that is causing grievances to the general public.
The garbage collection schedules have been published in the local newspapers and they are available on the VROMI Facebook page and the Government website.
Schedules for the hurricane cleanup will also be made available to the public in the near future.
Also the audio of the interview where the Minister clearly stated that the contractor of parcel 5& 6 has political backing.
