PHILIPSBURG: — The Council of Ministers will be discussing and take a decision on the candidates that will be appointed to the management board of GEBE. According to information SMN News received shows that the two of the three candidates worked at GEBE for almost 25 years in senior positions. They are Iris Arrindell the current commercial manager and Jerome Chittick the operations manager of the power plant. It is expected that the shareholder representative will take a decision during their discussions on Thursday which will remove the current temporary manager Andrew Zaggers from his position.

The Supervisory Board of Directors submitted three names to the Council of Ministers, Veronica Jensen Webster who will be appointed Chief Operations Officer along with Iris Arrindel and Jerome Chittick.

However, the Supervisory Board of GEBE is tasked with finding another candidate for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position since William Brooks would not be taking on that position due to his medical conditions.

Minister of VROMI Angel Meyers confirmed on Wednesday during the Council of Ministers press briefing that the Supervisory Board submitted a list of names to him and it will be discusses on Thursday, Minister Meyers said it will not be appropriate for him to divulge the names of the candidates because it has not yet been discussed with the Council of Ministers.
