PHILIPSBURG:_— As of September 2nd, St. Maarten has confirmed thirteen new cases of persons who have tested positive for the Corona Virus (COVID-19), however there was a recovery of 61 persons; reducing the total active cases to 174. The new total of confirmed cases now stands at 495.
Of the active cases, the Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are monitoring 168 people in home isolation. Six patients are currently hospitalized and the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at 19.
