PHILIPSBURG:— Independent MP Christophe Emmanuel on Wednesday said Minister of Finance Ardwell Irion slapped civil servants across the other cheek when he attempted to include a budget post in the 2021 budget to hire some 155 new full-time government workers, two weeks after spearheading the drive to cut the benefits and income of current civil servants.
