PHILIPSBURG: — Engine 18 at the GEBE powerplant has lost its crankshaft SMN News has been reliably informed. Sources say that GEBE would need to find millions to repair the broken crankshaft but most importantly is that the outgoing Chief Executive Officer Kenrick Chittick is keeping the matter secret because he does not want government or anyone to know the crankshaft broke during his term in office. The source said that Chittick wants the incoming interim management or selected management team to fail as soon as they take office.
In order for the crankshaft to be fixed GEBE would have to open up the entire building just like they did when they had mechanical failures with engine 19. An A1 mechanic told SMN News that repairing a broken crankshaft with engine 18 is no small feat and that residents should expect constant power outages.
