Two Bank Managers suspended, while two tellers resigned.
PHILIPSBURG:--- Two managers of the Windward Islands Bank have been suspended while two tellers have resigned after they were caught breaking the bank’s policies.
SMN News learnt that the senior employees of the bank and the two tellers were allegedly involved in some sort of scheme where they were pocketing the one percent tax that is supposed to go the government.
Based on reliable information provided to SMN News the matter has been under investigation over a month now and WIB managed to keep the internal investigation quiet. It is not yet known if a complaint was filed against the employees with the police.
SMN News could not reach management of WIB Friday evening for a comment.
