The Hague/PHILIPSBURG:— The former Police Chief of the Netherlands Gerard Bouman who came to St. Maarten last year and threatened the former Minister of Justice Dennis Richardson that he will take away the justice ministry is now under investigation.
Bouman has to appear before an integrity committee of the National Police for his role of excessive and un-accounted spending which involves the Central Works Council (CWC). The scandal that is now widespread in the Netherlands might involve fraud.
Bouman is being heard within two weeks by a team from the Safety Department for Integrity and Complaints (VIK). He is being questioned about his bizarre role of spending while heading the National Police. As reported in the Telgraaf the executive committee of the COR spent about two million Euros between January 2015 to April 2016. The monies was spent on outside experts, parties and dinners.
