PHILIPSBURG:--- An immigration officer identified as Alix Faudoas suffered a heart attack while playing ball at the Melford Hazel Sports Center on Friday afternoon.
Minister of Justice Edison Kirindongo confirmed that the officer took ill while on the ball court and was taken to the St. Maarten Medical Center. He said he personally visited the immigration officer and since he left the island he was not updated on his progress. However, SMN News learnt that arrangements were being made on Sunday to send the officer overseas for further medical treatment.
