Simpson Bay:--- The new interim director of IND Richard Panneflec is busy putting proper controls in place at all port of entries on St. Maarten.
Minister of Justice Edison Kirindongo told SMN News in an invited comment that passengers were departing St. Maarten from Aqua Marina Adventures located at Pelican Key. Minister Kirindongo said that IND wanted to have the tour operators bring in the passports at IND for controls but that would have posed some problems for the tour operators who made an arrangement with the Minister who agreed to have an immigration officer go to Pelican Key to control the passports in order not to interrupt the economy.
The agreement was made between the Minister of Justice Edison Kirindongo and manager of Aqua Marina Adventures Mr. Steyn.
