PHILIPSBURG: —Minister of Justice Edison Kirindongo announced on Wednesday that he is preparing with his staff to travel to the Netherlands to meet with the Minister of Kingdom Relations and Interior Affairs Ronald Plasterk and the Minister of Justice of the Netherlands Van der Steur. Minister Kirindongo will be leaving St. Maarten on Sunday for his visit, he said when he gets back to St. Maarten he will give an update on the results of his visit to the Kingdom.
During that visit the Minister of Justice of St. Maarten intends to visit the St. Maarten’s House, the Youth Detention Center, and some of their judicial partners in the Netherlands. On the agenda to be discussed with the Kingdom partners and the Ministers of the Netherlands are the plans of approach, the strengthening of the justice chain on St. Maarten especially KPSM and House of Detention on St. Maarten.
