Minister Silveria Jacobs Officially Opens Little League Regional Tournament.

PHILIPSBURG:--- Minister of Sports, Silveria Jacobs threw the first pitch & officially opened the Little League, Junior League Latin America Regional Tournament on Pond Island on Saturday July 9th 2016. The Junior League Latin America Regional Tournament will take place from July 9th to 16th on Sint Maarten.

Minister Jacobs welcomed each of the teams to the shores of Sint Maarten and wished them much success. Teams participating in the Tournament are Aruba, Bonaire, Colombia, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Sint Maarten, US Virgin Islands & Venezuela. The Junior League Baseball Division is a program for boys and girls ages 12-14, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches.
