ST. PETERS:--- On Thursday evening we were shock to hear that a truck struck more than 75 people killing them during Bastille Day celebrations in Nice, France, and injuring dozens more.
I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the bereaved. Many innocent people have been killed during the past weeks throughout the world due to hate.
We need to respect each other, respect all people and live together in harmony. I pray for peace as we go through these difficult times. Even though Nice, France is thousands of miles away, when innocent lives are lost due to acts of terrorism, it also touches us here on Sint Maarten/St. Martin.
I pray for those who were injured and pray for their speedy recovery.
