BASSETERRE:— After 8 days of hearing before the criminal assizes, the suspects that appeared for the courts for the brutal murder of Mathieu Carty were all found guilty.
The jury found the 7 suspects guilty for acts of torture and barbarism, the 7 detainees who appeared before the Assize Court of Basse-Terre were all imprisoned for other crimes prior to the brutal murder of Carty who was killed in his prison cell. Carty a St. Martiner, was detained as a suspect in the murder of a tourist identified as Wendy Montulet. The victim a Belgian tourist was murdered in July ...
