PHILIPSBURG:--- Fire trucks and their crew along with the contractor that is managing the landfill in Philipsburg is currently working on putting out a fire which started about 4:30pm on Sunday.
Robelto and Sons contractor Leroy Lapaix confirmed that there is fire on the dump. He made clear that it is not the garbage that is on fire but the pallets that were picked up all over the island and dry bushes from Emilio Wilson park that ignited the fire. Lapaix said the fire fighters is on the dump helping them to put the fire out.
