PHILIPSBURG:--- President of Peridot Foundation states; “we are pleased to present our annual domestic violence awareness event with another informative program.
As previously announced, the main presentation is provided by one of our best and brightest, young charismatic Forensic Psychologists Ms. Zoya Hyman. Ms. Hyman who is delighted to be our Guest-speaker obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude, at York College, City University of New York.
She also earned her Master of Arts, Forensic Mental Health Counseling at the John Jay College of Criminal -Justice City University of New York, NY.”

“Ms. Hyman returned to Sint Maarten after her studies. Her training and educational background, followed by her experience gained working at several institutions including the Mental Health Foundation and The Foundation of Judicial Institutes, provides us with a great opportunity to hear her views on the issue of domestic violence and its effects among others on mental health”.

Arrindell continues; “The program will be informative and enlightening to the general audience and professionals alike. It also contains en element of entertainment given the end of the year Holiday Season.
Another highlight will be the presentation of a strong message from a survivor of a horrific domestic assault. This message will be delivered by a family member spokesperson. Voices cannot be silenced.”

“It’s critically important that we continue to collect, analyze and share subject-related information and have solutions to prevent and eradicate violence against women and girls. Better equipped and emboldened”
