POINTE BLANCHE:—- The management of Port St. Maarten wishes to inform its employees, customers, investors and all other stakeholders that as of the early morning hours of Monday, November 28, 2016, a search is being conducted by the Public Prosecutor at the Port’s offices at the A.C. Wathey Cruise and Cargo Facilities.
From the search warrant that was at a certain time handed over to the Port’s management by the judge of instruction Mr. J.J.J. Schols, it is evident that the search is being conducted in connection with criminal investigations directed against a third person.
Neither the Port nor any person connected to the Port has been named as a suspect in this matter.
The Port is fully cooperating with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in accordance with its legal obligations.
