PHILIPSBURG:--- In correspondence dated July 15th 2016 addressed to President du Conseil Territorial, Ms Aline Hanson Prime Minister of Sint Maarten, Mr William V. Marlin, on behalf of the Government and people of Sint Maarten expresses his deepest condolences on the horrific attack of July 14th, 2016 in Nice, France. Prime Minister Marlin stated, “the sentiment associated with the tragic events of earlier attacks this year are still fresh in the minds of us all”. Prime Minister Marlin continued by saying, “This act not only represents an attack on France, but also on the ideals upon which the Republic were built on. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families as we stand in solidarity with you and the people of France in this time of national mourning.”
