RECALL OF CERTAIN KNORR AND CONIMEX PRODUCTS

recallproducts05102016PHILIPSBURG:— The Inspectorate of Public Health, Social Development, and Labor is alerting the public not to consume certain products of the brands Knorr and Conimex as some of these products may contain pieces of rubber.

UNILEVER, maker of CONIMEX and KNORR products in The Netherlands issued a recall of the following products:

– All CONIMEX “boemboe” products with the expiration date between Sept/2017 and Feb/2018 .
– Two products of KNORR which are the herbal pasta of macaroni and spaghetti with expiration date Sept/2017 and Feb/2018.
“Boemboes” are concentrated relatively wet mixes of spices from Indonesia used for preparing e.g. meat, chicken and vegetable dishes.

Wholesaler and retailers are instructed not to sell these products to the public and consumers are advised not to consume these products.

The Food Safety division of the Inspectorate is conducting the necessary inspections to verify if such products are in the local Mini- and Supermarkets. When found these will be confiscated and destroyed.
