PHILIPSBURG:— Cecilly Nicholas was awarded with Rotary’s Literacy Award as a young published author on St. Martin. The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset, as a means to promote and encourage Basic Education and Literacy among our youth, awarded 17-year-old Cecilly Nicholas. Nicholas published her first book at the tender age of 7 years old. Her book, titled “The Sunny Day” is centered around her love for the beach as a child. She was also awarded the opportunity to read her book at the second annual Reading Slumber Fun.
