WIN also unites, educates, and inspires women by providing experiences, such as the Passionately Pink Event, that greatly improves their lives.
Shelly Alphonso, President of The Positive Foundation, stated: “The Positive Foundation is proud that we were able to collaborate with the Women’s Island Network (WIN) for the Passionately Pink Event. The event includes education, fun, and fundraising, a combination that the Positive and Elektralytes Foundation have found to be effective”.
Shelly Alphonso further added, “We are excited that SCELL/WIN has responded to our call to action and see it fitting to host this event which we know will encourage the women in our community to be breast aware”. She also went on to say, “While early detection in the fight against breast cancer is still our best protection, our call to action- “Feel it, Find it, Fight it!” reinforces the need for action from all of us”.
