Countries with robust science-technology-innovation-based policies and strategies are known to have an advantage in global competitiveness and achieve robust growth and development. Science, technology, and innovation (STI), along with effective governance, have become fundamental tools for supporting the transformation of productive structures, the sustainable use of natural resources, and the delivery of health care, food, education, energy, transport, and other social needs.
