PHILIPSBURG (DCOMM):—  National Disaster Coordination and Fire Chief Clive Richardson on Wednesday, reminded the business community and the tourism sector to be prepared as the country is entering the peak period of the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season.
The sixth named storm of the season – Fred – formed on Tuesday evening near the Dominican Republic and is no threat to Sint Maarten.
Prime Minister Hon. Silveria Jacobs, chairlady of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), is once again reminding the nation to be prepared, closely monitor weather reports, and to remain vigilant especially in the coming days.
