Woman Robbed at Gunpoint — Several arrests were made including Gypsy driver.

Female robbed at gunpoint
The Special Robbery Unit Is presently investigating an armed robbery which took place on Wednesday March 16th at approximately 11.50 a.m. at the Pitusa Apartment building on the A. Th. Illidge road. According to the female victim she was unexpectedly attacked by an unknown man who had his face covered and wad carry a handgun. This man forced his way into her apartment and threatened her with his gun. He then stole her bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in the direction of Sunny Foods. Several police patrols were sent to the scene to the scene to investigate. A suspect in this case has yet been identified or arrested.
Suspect arrested
Detectives have arrested a man with the initials S.M.C. (33) as a suspect in the ongoing investigation of ill-treatment which took place on February 19th 2016. The victim was a crew-member of a cruise ship that stayed over night on Sint Maarten. The victim suffered a complicated lower leg fracture a result of a beating he received from a Gypsy driver and two other friends when he refused to pay U.S$ 20,- for a ride to the cruise facilities from the Carolina Night Club in Sucker garden. The suspect remains in custody for further investigation.
Suspect arrested for fencing
Detectives from the Special Robbery Unit have arrested a man with initials D.M.C. (35) for the fencing of goods that were stolen during an armed robbery which took place on March 2nd 2016 on Windsor road in Cole bay. The suspect remains in custody for further investigation and the items that were bought were confiscated.
Gypsy driver arrested at cruise facility
A male Gypsy taxi driver with initials H.C.C. operating in the vicinity of the A. C. Wathey Cruise Facility was arrested on Thursday March 17th at approximately 11.40 a.m. when he was approached by a police patrol and who were in the process of writing him a fine for illegal parking. The suspect became very aggressive, using profanity and very insulting towards the officers. At one point the suspect threatened one officer letting him to know he will be dealt with when he, the suspect, meets him alone on the road. The officers decided to arrest the suspect who immediately started resisting the arrest. The officers managed to put the suspect in handcuffs and took him to the police station for further investigation.
