BREAKING NEWS: RBC BANK ROBBED BY LONE ROBBER

RBC Cannegieter BankGREAT BAY — According to sources inside the RBC Bank at the Cannegieter Street in Philipsburg, a man robbed a teller of an unknown amount of cash around closing time this afternoon, Friday, April 28th, 2017.

The robber took the cash and casually walked out of the bank. The fact that the teller handed over so much cash to the man in such a short span of time drew the attention of the co-workers and as they approached her, she informed them that the man was a robber.

The police was quickly on the scene after the incident and the bank was immediately closed. Everyone present on the inside had to give a short statement and identify themselves before being let out via the backdoor after giving the police their phone numbers and contact information.

News reaching Today.sx indicates that the robber was unarmed and the bank was quickly surrounded by the police after the incident had occurred.

Today.sx is trying to get an official statement from authorities on this matter. We will be updating our Facebook post and the news here on this newspage as more information comes in.
