CUL-DE-SAC — Another family on St. Maarten is mourning the loss of a young man. Gary Zorilla, 23 years, succumbed to his injuries in the St. Maarten Medical Center after being involved in a fight in Cole Bay Thursday night on July 20, 2017.
721news.com was live on the scene and reported that a group of young men with prior problems encountered each other around 10pm at the Bush Road Gas Station. A fight broke out and the patrons at the gas station called the police but the police did not arrive on time and the two groups split and left the location.
They started a chase that led the two groups to Cole Bay at the entrance of Diamond Estate. The two groups exited the cars they were in and the fight started again. According to reliable sources the largest group overpowered the smaller one and three persons were injured. One was beaten severely after he receives multiple stab wounds.
The ambulance came and transported them to the St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) where the victim with the most serious injuries lost his life due to his injuries. On Facebook his friends identified him as Gary Zorilla of Bush Road.
The police and detective is busy investigating this new murder case. Nobody has been arrested for this crime as yet.
Gary Zorilla, born October 30th, 1993, is the father of a 4-year old a daughter. We at the TODAY newspaper extend our deepest sympathies to the mother of his daughter, his mother and the rest of the family.
