St. Maarten News —The judge in the Court of First Instance has thrown out the case against the principals of Ocean Explorers NV which was initiated by the government of St. Maarten. Ocean Explorers NV has occupied the location for the last 39 years and was given just 14 days to remove their business from the location on Kim Sha Beach in Simpson Bay. The area that that the Ocean Explorers are occupying is part of the property that the government is expected to develop for the expansion of the parking area in Simpson Bay. The deadline they were given to move the business was seen as “an impossible task” by the principals of the establishment.
