Kingdom reappoints Bloyden

St. Maarten – The Kingdom Council of Minister has reappointed Kelvin Bloyden as St. Maarten’s representative on the management council of the Common Court of Justice.

The council appointed Hans Janssen as the new member to the management council for the Netherlands. Janssen was nominated by Justice Minister Ard van der Steur and on behalf of the latter’s fellow-ministers of justice in St. Maarten, Aruba and Curacao.

Janssen (1956) is since 2013 a non-judicial member of the board of the court in Amsterdam. With that background the Kingdom Council of Ministers figures that he has the expertise and experience to provide a meaningful contribution to the membership of the Common Court of Justice’s management council.

Previously, Janssen was acting inspector-general at the Healthcare Inspectorate and general manager of the Central Bureau for Sheltering Asylum Seekers (COA).

Janssen succeeds Marja van Kuijk, whose term has expired.

Bloyden, an assistant managing director at the Windward Islands Bank previously was on the board of the Harbor Group of Companies and the board of utilities company Gebe.
