St. Maarten – The police force announced the presence of more men and women in blue on the streets in view of the emerging high season that will bring more cruise vessels and also more arrivals at the airport and thereby, more traffic on the roads.
The police urges drivers to make sure their cars are in good working condition and to carry the car’s paperwork and a valid driver’s license. Drivers of scooters and motorbikes should all wear helmets, the police said in a press statement.
Yesterday police were present with a tow truck at the A.C. Wathey Cruise Facilities to keep an eye on gypsy cab drivers who at times disrupt the entrance to the facilities.
