Parliamentary committee meets AVA Airways

St. Maarten News – Olivier Arrindell’s AVA Airways will gets its day in parliament with the permanent committee for Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication on Friday at 10 a.m.

The committee will discuss with AVA representatives the company’s business plan, St. Maarten’s open skies policy, and the public private partnership proposal with Winair.

AVA wants to bring to the attention of the committee “the circumvention, slanderous statements, discrimination and protecting of a monopoly in air transport within the Dutch Caribbean by the government of Curacao.”

The meeting will be broadcast live on St. Maarten Cable TV channel 120, Pearl 98.1 FM Radio, www.pearlfmradio.com and www.sxmparliament.org.
