St. Maarten – The setting for the 3rd annual Scare Topia at the Emilio Wilson Park last Saturday was good and not even the rain could have dampened the spirits nor damage the costumes that were worn just for the special occasion.

After the theatrical performances by Willy Wonka & the Attack of the Oompa Lumpas who thrilled the audience with their choreographed dance moves, it was time for the judging of the creative costumes in the individual category as well as families.

From the looks of the array of outfits, which clearly was time consuming to put together, the sky was the limit when it came to creativity and originality. Ironically, there were no judges, the audience judged by way of applauds and cheers.

Just when the crowd thought that every thing was okay, a brief shower of rain sent everybody running for cover, however the decision as to whose outfits were more outstanding was already taken. In the individual category, the first place for the most creative costume in the individual category went to Miss Rei- Shaylah Arrindell and the winners in the family category were a French family.
