St. Maarten – Yesterday around 6.30 p.m. one of the attendants at the Tackling gas station in Cole bay was fatally shot by an armed robber. Within an hour police Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson reported that another armed robbery had taken place at a gas station in Simpson Bay.
Two suspects are in custody and a car has been confiscated. Henson could not confirm that the money the robbers stole at the Tackling gas station has been recovered from the suspects.
More details about the crimes were not available at press time, other than that the gas station attendant was not showing any signs of life.
The Special Robbery Unit is investigating the crimes.
