The Rotary Club of Sint Maarten-Mid Isle recently helped with the repairs and cleanup of the St. Maarten Table Tennis Federation (SMTTF) practice hall and office.

The ceilings were destroyed since the passing of hurricane Gonzalo, which made regular practicing and Coach Radjouki’s presence difficult. The air conditioner was replaced and several lighting fixtures were re-installed. The whole area received a new coat of paint. Members of the SMTTF helped out with the painting.

Coach Franklin Radjouki and SMTTF President Alexander Gumbs expressed millions of thanks to the Mid Isle Rotary Club for their gesture.

The next Rotary Youth Table Tennis Tournament (RYTTT) will be held early next year. The Rotary Club is asking all table tennis players to start preparing for this annual event which has contributed to the sport’s level improvement for the past eight years.
